Captain Jim’s Chili
1 pound spicy breakfast sausage
1 pound ground turkey
2 tablespoons onion powder
4 tablespoons garlic powder
1 tablespoon paprika
1 tablespoon white pepper
1 tablespoon crushed red pepper
8 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon cumin
1 finely diced green pepper
1 finely diced purple onion
1 12 ounce can black beans
1 12 ounce can spicy chili beans
2 tablespoons flour
1 16 ounce can tomato puree
1 12 ounce can crushed tomatoes
Brown meat, don’t drain, while meat is browning add all spices, after brown, add
2 cups water and all other ingredients, except flour, bring to boil, reduce to simmer
and stir in flour. Simmer 1 hour.
